The festival «Our Home is Planet Earth» united foreign students from different universities
The 12th International Student Festival «Our Home is Planet Earth» is held at the Preparatory Faculty for foreign citizens in the regional flagship university.
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is the initiator of this festival and a permanent venue for the Belgorod universities with preparatory faculties for foreign citizens.
A series of Olympiads in mathematics, physics, history, Russian as a foreign language and linguistics and science of country was held within the framework of the festival.
In the current year, students of the preparatory faculties and departments for foreign citizens from Belgorod and other regions of the Central Federal District participated in the Olympiads. The names of the winners were announced after the contest work.
The winner of the Olympiad in mathematics was Wu An Binh. Second place was given to Diop Elkhaji Abdu Aziz, and the third place - Fasca Karage Fiifi.
Conde Ali (1st place), Dzimbo Edward (II place), AguaMuaEchi Olivier (III place) are recognized as the strongest students in physics.
Kya Tvum Kwadwo (1st place), Agyei Nana Ovusu (II place), Duah Joel, Adiam Kevin Kwesi (III place) became the winners of the Olympiad in History.
According to the results of the competitions in the Olympiad in linguistics, the winner was Ovus Patrick Asante, Agyey Nana Ovusu and Kya Tvum Kvadvo (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov) who finished second and Ayasha Faisal (KSU) with the third place.
Agyey Nana Ovusu (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov) - I place, Mamadu Salio Diallo (BGAU named after V.Y. Gorin) - II place, and Buachiye Annabel Frimponmaa (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov) - III place, all of them gave correct answers in the Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language.
«The strong author's position» - Aduku Eugene (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov), «For optimism and faith in the future» - Rengifo Arteaga Jose Luis (BGIIK), «For respect for family values» - Pacheco Ramiro Ruza Barbara ( KSU), these works became the winners of the essay contest nominations.
The winners will be awarded on May 15 at the concert closing ceremony of the festival.
