Foreign students played mini-football
On March 18, a mini-football tournament was held among foreign students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, dedicated to the election of the President of the Russian Federation.
The tournament was organized by the department of foreign students with the support of the department of physical education and sports of the university.
The teams from Ghana, Angola, Cameroon and the African team took part in the competitions. The game was exciting and challenging. In the first match, Angola won Cameroon 2-0. The African team scored a confident victory over Ghana's team 6-0 in the second game. Thus, the teams of Cameroon and Ghana met in the match for 3rd place. In a relentless struggle Ghana beat Cameroon with a score 2: 1, scoring the decisive goal against the opponents at the last minute of the meeting.
The final match was spectacular enough and rich in goals scored, the African team scored a confident victory over the Angola team with a score of 6: 3, thereby winning "gold."
Awarding and summarizing the tournament will be held at the next meeting of the community of foreign students.
As the head of the Department of foreign students of BSTU Dmitry Nosachov noted, such tournaments bring students closer and contribute to strengthening of friendship between students, development of tolerance, adherence to a healthy lifestyle.
The best players of the tournament will join the national team of foreign students in mini-football, which plans to perform in the Belgorod amateur football league. Games will be held from April to November 2018 at the stadium «Silver Donets».
