BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov will increase the number of students from Egypt
Vice-Rector on International Activities of BSTU, Professor Ruslan Lesovik paid an official visit to Egypt, where he met with the heads of the partner universities of the flagship regional university.
During his visit to Damanhur University (Alexandria), Ruslan Valerievich met with the rector of the university Dr. Ibet Saleh and vice-rector on international activities Dr. Motaveh Hussein. The parties agreed to open a preparatory faculty for foreign citizens at Damanhur University in September 1, 2018.
«It is planned to train more than 50 students annually, with the subsequent admission to the first year at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The Russian Consul General in Egypt, Rashid Sadikov, also supported the initiative of preparatory faculty establishment and promised to ease travel restrictions to Russia for Egyptians for internships and for the university summer language school courses », said Vice-Rector Ruslan V. Lesovik.
The agreement on cooperation between the flagship regional university and the University of Science and Technology of Delta (Gamas, Mansour province) was signed at the meeting with the president of the partner university Dr. Yahya Elmashad.
Also the Vice-Rector visited the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, where he met with the university Vice President on Research Dr. Alaa Abdelwahid Abdelbari and Dean of the Engineering and Technology College Dr. Amr Ali Mohamed Hassan.
Colleagues discussed topical issues of cooperation in all spheres. The first step will be the reception of the Academy students group of to the summer language school. After that, they will undergo an internship, and in the future it is planned to have inclusive education program at BSTU. It should be reminded that the study of selected subjects is already implemented at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov for the students from the Hulunbuir University (China).
