Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov supports road safety
Three thematic round tables and a press conference took place in the flagship regional university within the framework of the All-Russian campaign on road safety «Occasion for overtaking».
The event organizers were the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Motor Insurers and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation with the support of the Expert Center "Movement without danger".
Participants of the round table «Science and practice for road safety» discussed and summarized the results of scientific developments, their impact on the culture of behavior of civil society on the road.
The rector of the university, professor Sergey Glagolev, the president of the university, professor Anatoly Gridchin, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Belgorod region Vasily Umnov, the president of the expert center "Movement without danger" Natalia Agre, the head of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate in the Belgorod region Nikolay Smolyakov, roads of the general use of the region Oleg Drozhzhin, vice-head of the Federal Governmental Institution Research Center for the Problems of road safety of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation Evgeny Mukhin, as well as the teaching staff of the flagship university were participants of this event.
At the end of the round tables, the organizers and guests of the event visited the active zones of the BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov. Senior trainer of the expert center «Traffic without danger» Dmitry Stebakov proposed to pass a couple of tests that simulate the situation on the roads. In the next zone, the pupils of the second year of the Shukhov Lyceum were talking to the students who shared their knowledge of the traffic rules. After the competition they received memorable souvenirs as retro -reflective bandages.
At the end of the event, an agreement between the flagship university, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Belgorod region, the expert center «Traffic without danger» and the Federal Governmental Institution Research Center for the Problems of road safety of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation was signed.
