The leading university scientist became Honorary Professor of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University

Elena Kudryashova, the rector of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University presented the diploma and mantle of the honorary doctor of the NArFU to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, the head of the department of building materials science, products and structures of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation Valery Lesovik at the meeting of the Academic Council.

Valery Lesovik delivered a lecture where he briefed the students, postgraduates and professors about nature-friendly technologies. The scientist noted that science transfers to transdisciplinarity - a way of expanding the scientific world outlook, consisting in considering one or another phenomenon outside the scope of one scientific discipline.

«The main task of scientists around the world is to optimize the system «man - material – habitat», that is, the creation of such environment materials, where we would feel comfortable. Nowadays we are constantly in a stressful situation. A man is surrounded by building materials 80-90% of his life, but at this stage we have learned how to protect ourselves only from cold and heat», - highlighted Valery Lesovik.

The scientist gave an example that in the future we will be drilling wells on the slopes of the volcanoes and pump lava to make building materials of it. Mankind will use deep-water mud to obtain clinker and ceramic materials.

Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov is one of the leading universities in Russia and actively cooperates with many foreign universities. Major federal events take place there.
