Students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov won the prizes of «Singing Belogorie»

On February 15 and 16, the III International Contest of Vocal-Choral and Vocal Performing Arts «Singing Belogorie» was held in Belgorod.

The creative competition was organized by the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture. The jury included honored cultural workers, honored artists, leading vocal coachers from Russia, Ukraine and Italy. Soloists and vocal ensembles of academic, pop and folk styles were invited to participate in this musical event.

  

Performers from Belgorod, Murmansk, Kazan, Lipetsk, Khabarovsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Saratov, Voronezh, Orel and Kursk regions, as well as representatives of the Republic of Crimea, Karelia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Syria, Afghanistan, Cote d'Ivoire, Ivory Coast and Ghana.

BSTU was represented by two groups: the vocal ensemble «Music of Happiness» under the guidance of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Olga Tsymbalist performed in the category of variety vocal (ensembles), and the vocal studio «Alliance» under the guidance of the laureate of the All-Russia and international competitions Uruzmag Tandelov performed in the nomination «Variety Vocal» (amateurs, solo).

 

According to the head of the ensemble Olga Tsymbalist, the creative contest turned out to be very difficult for the students, as they had to compete with professionals from the universities of culturological orientation and artists of the philharmonic society. But they tried their best and have demonstrated a high vocal level. As a result, «Music of Happiness» received a diploma of the first degree in the nomination of variety vocal (ensembles).

Participants of the vocal studio «Alliance» - students of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens (PFI). The studio has been working since 2009. During this time the participants and graduates of the ensemble achieved significant success, performing at international, all-Russian and regional vocal competitions. The students became winners and prize-winners of such competitions as «Student Spring», «Afghan Wind», «Voice» and others.

 

This time the participants also showed a high level of performance, singing two songs in Russian and in a foreign language. The head of the ensemble Uruzmag Tandelov notes that working with foreign students is a great pleasure. They sing very emotionally, they able to empathize, they have tremendous vocal abilities. This can be seen from the result of the contest «Singing Belogorie», where all prize-winning places took the participants of the «Alliance» studio in the nomination «Variety Vocal» (amateurs, solo). First prize was taken by the student of the PFI Adiamah Kevin Kwesy (Ghana), the winner of the 2nd degree - Echo Cedric (Cote d'Ivoire), the diploma of the 3rd degree was given to Nasser Allah Eyad (Syria), and the graduate of the PFI Shah Soltan Ahmad Khaled became award winner of the 1st degree(Afghanistan).
