The university celebrated Pancake week with folk festivals
The festival «Big pancake week» with the participation of students and teachers of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov was hosted in the Student’s Palace of Culture. An intense program with artistic performances, cheerful competitions, master classes and tasty treats was organized by the staff of the Student’s Palace of Culture for all guests.
Creative teams of the Student’s Palace of Culture congratulated all students and stuff with the beginning of the «Big pancake week», which took place in the framework of the Interuniversity Youth Festival «Rus Zapovednaya 4: Good is the tradition of Russia», dedicated to the Year of Volunteer in the country.
The group of folk dance «Sokolyata» (headed by Natalia Rybina), the youth band of the Cossack song (headed by Maria Krivchenko), the ensemble of variety dance «Premier» (headed by Elena Kulishko), and the fourth-year student of the Civil Engineering Institute Pavel Rogozhnikov with the song «Sudden Happiness» were performed in front of the guests.
Also, the audience took part in competitions on knowledge relating the pancake week traditions. The most active participants received souvenirs. Simultaneously with the ceremonial part, there were master classes by Zhanna Kudrina on gingerbread painting and Elena Novikova on making souvenirs in ethnic style.
Master classes on ginger bread painting and souvenir crafting in ethnic style made by Zhanna Kudrina and Elena Novikova were held at the same time with competitions.
At the end of the festive program, all guests were fed a traditional Maslenitsa delicacy - pancakes with various fillings.
