Diplomats from 5 African countries at BSTU

On the 13th of October  BSTU named after  V.G. Shukhov was visited by a delegation of official representatives of African countries. It was headed by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan, H.E. Nader Youssef Babiker. The delegation includes Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Djibouti in RF – H.E. Muhammad Ali Kamel; Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan H.E. Telaru Ring Deng; Chargé d'Republic of Kenya H.E. Hillary N. Kingo; Chargé d'Republic of Uganda H.E. Rutazindva Gideon Mvebaze; Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan – dr.Sami Aburaja, Public Relations Representative for the Republic of South Sudan – Mr. Bhargel Joseph Malo.

 

 

 

 

 

By tradition, the guests met the Rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, prof. S.N. Glagolev who acquainted guests with the activities of the University and its attractions. Representatives of African countries laid flowers to the monument to VG Shukhov visited the campus.

 

An interesting and impressive was the tour of the laboratories of the Center of High Technologies. Vice-rector for scientific work, prof. E.I Yevtushenko told about the unique equipment used in scientific and educational activity. As well as the directions of research.

 

Then there was a meeting with the rectors of the Belgorod universities.

 

 

 

Deputy Governor Head of the Department of internal and personnel policies of the Belgorod region administration- O. Pavlova, She  opened the meeting, noted that our region is one of the most developed regions of Russia, and in this great merit of higher educational institutions of Belgorod.

Representatives of universities was introduced the most important directions of the activity of the educational institutions. Especially going into those that are important for our guests. This concerned both the international activities, educational and scientific work.

 

Diplomats were interested in the possibility of training of students in higher educational institutions of Belgorod in occupations related to agribusiness, medicine and construction, mining industry and alternative energy.

Ambassadors of the East African countries expressed their willingness to contribute to the expansion of relations in the sphere of education and science, by increasing the students enrolled in universities of Belgorod, the implementation of student and teacher exchanges.
