Guests from Ales University
On the June 16 BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was attended by representatives of the Higher School of Mines of Ales (France): Professor Alexei A. Evstratov and Gwen. During the two-day visit, they will discuss with Russian colleagues the development of further cooperation.
During the fruitful discussion with the vice rector in international affairs-prof. R. Lesovik, they discussed participation in the project of the European Union "Erasmus". Trial steps for the development of this education program have already been taken by both sides. The vast pans plan made necessary adjustments dictated by the peculiarities of our universities and the current economic conditions. Now we need to implement all the plans into reality.
Our guests noted that university willing to accept an administrative staff, a teacher and three students from BSTU. Students can be trained for five months and receive at the same time scholarship.
According to R. Lesovik, double degree program is very promising. And we must take all possible measures for its development. BSTU for example, will selected for this study abroad to 10-15 students per year.
Later on, prof. from Ales university held presentation at the Department of "Materials Science and Materials Technology". During her professor told about scientific fields, the development of which are engaged in high school.
The main emphasis was made on the problem of recycle of cement or concrete.
Employees of faculty, graduate students were asked the guest a number of questions related to research at the University of Ales. We identify possible areas of further cooperation in terms of concrete, cement, gypsum, bitumen.
Our guests visited laboratory of the department and high-tech center.
