Students from Benin celebrated their Independence Day
On August 1, 2014 the students from Benin celebrated their Independence Day. One of the initiators of the celebration was the President of Belgorod Branch of Foreign Students Association in Russia Hermilio Kpedotossi. Professor, doctor of economic sciences, rector of Belgorod State Technological university named after V.G. Shukhov Sergey Glagolev visited the exhibition of crafts, prepared by the students.
The students told about the geography of their home country, its climate, which is quite unusual for Russia. The students stressed that Benin celebrates its 54th anniversary. The celebration was decorated with traditional songs and dances.
It should be mentioned that apart from BSTU students, young citizens of Benin studying at Belgorod State University joined the celebration. This contributes to promoting cooperation not only between universities in Belgorod, but to friendly relationships between BSTU and countries in Western Africa.
