Representatives of a German university discussed the cooperation prospects with the mayor of the city of Belgorod
On July 24 2014 the mayor of the city of Belgorod Sergey Bozhenov met the president of a European higher educational institution prof. Jürgen Kretschmann and Mr. Karl Kleinberg, one of chief specialist. Prospects for cooperation between technological universities of both cities were discussed at the meeting. The agreement of experience exchange between Belgorod State Technological university named after V.G. Shukhov and Technische Fachhochschule Georg Agricola in Bochum had already been signed.
“Apart from students, the academic staff will be involved in exchenge programs as well – shared prof. Jürgen Kretschmann – Main requirements primarily include German language skills as the language of instruction is basically German. The applicants will need favorable references from the university in the home country. The first exchange is scheduled for the beginning of the next academic year.
The delegation from the German city of Bochum stayed in Belgorod for two days. In addition to business meetings Mr. Jürgen Kretschmann and Mr. Karl Kleinberg visited two museums in Belgorod – The Art Museum and Diorama Museum, in the city of Gubkin – the Mining Museum and the quarry at Lebedinski Mining Concentrator.
