Mister and Miss Economics and Management 2014
On March 21 the Students Art Centre for the first time held a competition "Miss and Mister Institute of Economics and Management-2014". Four creative couples were fighting for the title, each of them students of the Institute of Economics and Management. From the very first contest the appearance of each pair of participants on the stage aroused a storm of emotions. And this is natural: the audience actively supported the brave young people, helped them cope with anxiety, as candidates for the honorary title had to convince the Board of Judges that they the most talented and resourceful.
In the first contest "The Story of Acquaintance" the students told a story of relationship with the language of a song, dance or drama. To bring it in a most convincing way the "artists" were wearing traditional costumes from different countries.
In the second competition "The Science of Relationship" the students had to answer "tricky" questions from the presenters. Due to the ability to make decisions jointly, active support from the audience, all the contestants have successfully coped with this difficult stage.
The most responsible, but at the same time the most interesting was a creative contest "Surprise me", where young students could display their sparkling talents. Fatoumata Mukelabai and Clive Piri pleased us with wonderful singing and dancing, which just "blew up" the audience.
Anastasia Zharikova and Vadim Shulga won the sympathy of the audience with beautiful guitar playing and a gamy song. Bogdana Molchanova and Vladislav Jarikov decided to surprise everyone with playing the piano. A brilliant vocal composition was given by Nelly Karpenko and Eugene Bunin in memory of the tragedy in Beslan, which deeply touched the hearts of people sitting in the hall.
Throughout the night, the contestants demonstrated their incredible charm, creativity, ability to act on the stage. The concert was marked by a friendly and cheerful atmosphere, the contestants were improvising, entertaining themselves and the viewers, making jokes, supporting each other and helping backstage. Young ladies and gentlemen had coped with all the assignments. However it was the most complicated thing for the Board of Judges, as they had to make a difficult choice.
While the judges were making the final decision IEM students pleased the audience with their vocal performances - Maria Pchelina, Cristina Kildyusheva, Vadim Kryukov, Jana Ryadnova, Daria Voitekhovich and Anastasia Velichko, creative teams of BSTU Students Art Centre. Modern dancing performance was given by Michael Vereshchak and Baron Mvula, as well as «Pink elephants Crew».
And, finally, the event came to its culminating point. By the decision of the Board of Judges Bogdana Molchanova and Vladislav Jarikov won in the category "Artistry", in the category "Romanticism" Anastasia Zharikova and Vadim Shulga were given their award. Vice Mister and vice Miss title was given to Nellie Karpenko and Eugene Bunin. The most honorable title of "Miss & Mister IEM- 2014" was awarded to students Fatoumata Mukelabai and Clive Piri from Zambia. All the contestants received certificates and prizes from the sponsors: Trade Union Committee of the University, cinema "GrinnFilm" , bowling club «Coctail Bowling Club» and "Comod" café. The prizes were handed over by the chairman of the Board of Judges, a youth specialist Natalia Gaina.
All the participants had showed themselves to advantage and proved it in practice. The judges thanked all the participants in this contest for their endless enthusiasm and initiative, for their creative performance at the concert, which had created a mood the night. And all those who came to support the contestants!
