When the dereams come true
On 21-23 November Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture and the Department of Design hosted an International Forum "Diverse but equal." Within the framework of the Forum the IV International Competition of Young Fashion Designers' Debut Plus" was held. Among those invited to participate in the competition were students of specialized educational institutions, professionals and people without special training.
In the age group 17 to 25 years was a student of the Institute of Economics and Management of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov - Muhongo Josina Madalena Pedro presenting a collection of clothes, "Let there always be sunshine." A strict board of judges, which included experts in fashion, creative members of Russian artistic associations, as well as representatives of relevant industries, appreciated the representative of our university and distant Angola - the results of the contest in the nomination «PRET-A-PORTER» ( fashion of streets and cities ) the girl took the third place.
Josins has had some experience in making creative image. Back in her home country, Angola, for some time she took lessons from a model studio and began to create sketches of national costumes, combined with modern fashion trends. In Belgorod Muhongo Josina Madalena Pedro came to study to be an economist, but it still remains her dream getting a second education as a fashion designer. A talented third-year BSTU student with her bright, fresh ideas was noticed and invited by BSIAC faculty members to courses on creating model clothes. It should be noted that all of Josina’s fashion costumes are hand-made, since the girl does not have any necessary sewing equipment.
Certainly, the students could not get prepared to the show without assistants. Her friends, students from Angola participated in the parade, and staff members of the Center for International Education and Cooperation Svetlana Melikhova and Elena Zagorodniuk took all organizational issues upon themselves
