October 24 - Independence Day in Zambia.
Zambia is located in central Africa, in the River Zambezi Basin.
Its territory is divided into nine provinces.
The capital of the Republic is the city of Lusaka. Its official language is English.
Before independence in 1964, Zambia was a British protectorate called Northern Rhodesia.

This day Zambian students gathered to celebrate  their national holiday at the central entrance of the main academic building of BSTU named after  V.G. Shukhov. More than 40 Zambian students are being trained at the University today. The celebration began with the Zambian national dances. National music created the atmosphere of the far-away mysterious African country.
