Zambian Representatives have learnt about the History of Belgorodia
On September 20-21, a delegation of the Republic of Zambia represented by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to Russia Mr. Frederick Shumba Hapunda and Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia to the Russian Federation Mr. Michael Mundambo Laimo arrived at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov on a business visit.
The purpose of the visit was to extend the ties in the area of education and culture. Apart from official meetings the representatives of the friendly African country visited a historical diorama museum «The battle of Kursk, Belgorod direction». Before entering the main hall the guests were shown an exposition «The Land of Fire», where they saw pictures, personal belongings document with the evidence of Kursk Battle events and its participants. However the main impression was ahead. A huge canvas and its front illustrate battle episodes of the events taking place during the tank battle near Prokhorovka gave an impression on the scale of the heroic battle, which had predetermined the course of World War II.
When visiting local Museum of Folk Culture, the African guests learned much about the history of our region, life of simple Russian people, able not only to work well, but also decorate their homes with great taste.
Leaving Belgorod State Technological University they will remember warmness and hospitality of people in Belgorod.
