Results of Friendship Cup tournament
The final stage of the annual interinstitutional tournament on mini-soccer "Friendship Cup" ended on January 27 in BSTU Sports Complex. During the first 8 teams competed for the first position, four of them were left in the semi-finals - Belgorod State Technological University and Belgorod State Agricultural Academy, Belgorod Institute of Engineering and economics Belgorod Consumer Cooperation and Law University. In 1 / 2 finals Belgorod Institute of Engineering and economics beat the Cooperation and Law University 6-2, and BSTU won the Academy of Agriculture at 3-2. As a result, BSTU and BEE teams met in the finals, the match ended in the victory of Technological University 5-4. The respectable second place was given to the team of Belgorod Institute of Engineering and economics . Cooperation University team took the third place in the hard struggle.
By tradition, the organizers awarded prizes to the "Best Player of the Tournament" - Henry Kankam, citizen of Ghana (Agricultural Academy), "The best goalkeeper" - Ivan Primanenko (Belgorod Consumer Cooperation and Law University), "Best forward" - Oleg Poliakov (Belgorod Institute of Engineering and economics) and "The best defender" - Oleg Bavykina (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov).
Professor S.I. Kramskoy , Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, handed the awards the teams deserved and wished him success in sports and studies. At the end all the participants took pictures for memory. The tournament was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sport and the Center for International Education and Cooperation of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
