Captain Murad Ahmad Al-Mamari (November 16, 2010 )

Today, Captain Murad Ahmad Al-Mamari has successfully presented his thesis to the professor’s staff of the Institute of Economics and Management. Captain Murad, a citizen of the Sultanate of Oman, is completing his second year of the Master Degree Program at Belgorod State  Shukhov Technological University. The language of tuition is English. Candidates  seeking for a Master’s Degree should present a preliminary report on their research  to the professors staff before they are allowed for the official defense.  

 Captain Murad Ahmad Al-Mamari gave an initial  presentation of his thesis using visual aids. The paper is related to his specialization field “Company  management” and contains both theoretical and practical parts. The thesis is devoted to economic challenges in operating a port of global significance. The candidate touched upon the benefits of establishing a joint venture for managing a state-of-art port, achieving strategic goals resulting in the development of local infrastructure as a whole. According to the commission the subject of  research is urgent not only locally in Oman, but for all Gulf countries. The thesis was of interest to the commission and the professors asked Captain Murad to answer some questions.
