Shukhov Vladimir Grigorievich
Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov was born on August 16( 28), 1853 in a small and quiet provincial town of Graivoron, at that time belonging to Belgorod uezd (district) district of Kursk province. His father Grigory Petrovich Shukhov belonged to a family where men ,from generation to generation, served as Russian Army officers.

Sport
University administration pays a lot of attention to the development of student sport. Developing great sport infrastructure is unconditional recognition of such attention. Today there are a modern stadium, three sport arenas, sports grounds, tennis courts, an athletes training hall, a shooting gallery, a chess club, a weightlifting field, a beach sports field, an ice rink, a rehabilitation center, RLD (Ready for Labour and Defence) standards exam field, a sports complex with two swimming pools. Two sport arenas, a shooting gallery, a stadium and a swimming pool are entered the national register of sports facilities.

In accordance with the order of the Commission for State Regulation of Prices and Rates in the Belgorod region of December 17, 2009 No. 12/34, State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education in Belgorod "V.G.
